i had a mishap with my nitros and it blew up my ss air intake and my thrattle body . the throttle body i can replace but the air intake has to be from the dealer the problem is that without a vin # for a ss they wont even talk to me

why would you need a vin# to order a stock replacement part?
jsut get the part# off of it and check out www.gmpartsdirect.com or any of the otehr online warehouses. you will pay less than the dealer will charge this way too

if GM is the only ones who carry it, they won't sell a part that's SS-specific without the vin at least

I think RK sport still carries the SS Airbox assembly, also SLP may have one as well.
