any good GTP shops in NJ?

my buddy has a supercharged 3.8 liter motor out of a 04 GTP swapped in his fiero. are there any good shops that specialize in that motor he can go to get a aftermarket pulley for it? i remember someone talking about a shop around here that specializes in Grand Prixs and such

DYNOTECH IN MANVILLE.

/thread. :D

Seriously though, I had a big chunk of work done to my GTP there. Eric and his crew are top notch. Up there with ZZPerformance as far as GTP shops go- people come from all over to have work done.

aren't there several companies that make pulleys for GTP's? looking at a few pics online, it would be an easy swap and all the pulleys i saw for sale come with the correct size belt.

Yeah, there are press on and modular pulley systems.

Off of the top of my head,

ZZPerformance
Thrasher
Intense
Pulley Boys
SLP

and probably a bunch of others. ZZP, Thrasher, and Intense have the modular systems that don't require a pulley tool. I have the Thasher modular pulley system. Somewhere around here is a Pulley Boys press on 3.4 as well...

Can't say for sure, but I would be surprised if they didn't. Worth a phone call IMO.

you dont need a shop to put a pulley on for you...they make a special puller for them and das ist es

qwikz28 03-26-2007 07:46 AM

its not just a pulley, mostly a tune and possibly getting it started if we can't figure it out ourselves.

NJSPEEDER 03-26-2007 02:34 PM

tune = foff667
i am sure he already has ro has access to the software from hptuners and i am sure he would give it a serious step up in the power department too. :)

I know brian teel from clubgp does alot of work on the side as well as L67 swaps so he would be the man to see IMO although I have heard good things about dynotech as well.

+1 Brian Teel = cool peeps. Also I know ZZPerformance has an option with ther PCMs about a GTP motor fiero swap as does DHP PCMs, it's worth lookin into, also don't take it to a shop 4 a pulley, its very simple to do, I swapped mine out in like 30 minutes tops.

nj85z28 03-28-2007 03:20 PM

i swapped mine out real easy as well, and from what i hear dynotech is the place to be for the wbodies. i try to do all my own work but they come highly reccommended
