new cars rock...
so i had to help my friend move his iroc down to south jersey to his moms house for winter storage. so i got to take my moms new 08 malibu ltz......let me just say that thing kicks @ss on the highway. made it there (exit 4 off the njp from hopatcong) and back on one tank of gas. 352 miles total. 27mpg even sitting in some traffic. passing on the highway is so easy, for a small v6 it has a lot of power. I was doing 90 by accident cause it is so quiet and rides so smooth... unlike the jeep..doing 40 in that feels like 100....
ok that is all. |

snt that the 3500 v6? if so theyre pretty decent in size and power numbers. even the 3400 is pretty decent. as long as theyre the newer ones
|
al will know for sure, but I think its a 3900 motor.

Neither. Its GM's 3.6 DOHC VVT engine that is GM's new base V6 motor in just about every GM car out.
The direct injected version is what is the base engine in the 10 Camaro. 252hp 3.6 DOHC VVT with 6spd auto trans. It is a hot car, no doubt. My neighbor has one in that dark slate metalic with polished wheels...my goodness I never thought Id like a FWD passanger car taht much. The 3.5 OHV VVT engine is available only through fleet order, but not for LTZ. 2.4 and 6spd auto is standard on 2LT and up, optional on 1LT, not availble on LS. Have a good day. |
/\ what he said lol I just cant get over the amount of power that car has. I am definitely pleased with it. I told my mom i wanted to trade her car for my jeep...she said no :(
The motor is really cool when the valve timing changes, the motor goes from quiet is it running? to satins v6 that cant get traction. |
thats what happens when v-tak kicks in
