need ipod help
ok so i havent used this thing in the longest time and i went to use it and it wasnt working so last night i put it on the charger and it works great but when its unplugged the screen freezes up and i cant use it. anyone have any clue whats up with it or if it can even be fixed. i tried multipal times to reset it and it just keeps doing the same thing

So it works fine as long as it's plugged in, but as soon as you unplug it the screen freezes up?
Will it continue playing music when you unplug it, or does that stop too? Also, what generation / model is it? - Justin |
You have to eject the ipod from itunes or else the screen can freeze, or, even worst, you can lose all your music on it.
Just hit control+e when itunes is open to eject it. |
just gave that a shot and as soon as i unplugged it from my computer it just froze and stopped working. its an ipod nano model number A1199

Mine did the same thing (well, the screen freezing, looked all garbled). It still clicked and whatnot and I could change music, just had no idea wtf I was changing it to. Try reseting it, search ask.com for "resetting ipod". Good luck.

well if you end up chucking that one and want another nano for cheap I have a 2nd gen 4GB nano in silver that's just collecting dust. Looks brand new and has been in a leather case with a screen protector on it it's whole life. ZUNE ftw!
