WTB V-belt PS box, pump, pulley, and lines for 87 iroc - BOUGHT
 

Looking to convert the car to bbc and keep the rpm's down, so Im converting back to power steering. If anyone has a ps box, pump, pulley with brackets etc. for a 87 IROC please let me know.

Any 3rd gen box will work for you give or take ratio.

Yea the pulley is the same for bbc, im basically looking for any sbc performance steer complete, such as ws6, iroc etc(not from a v6 car). Im going to use the sbc pump with the bbc brackets. Ive done that in the past and I think it just works a little easier than tracking down the old bbc stuff.

OK I just wanted to make sure. i'll poke around my pile of junk. I just scrapped a bunch of OE bracketry.

Whats the bottom line on that Ted? Also is the pitman arm still attached? I could swing by tomorrow if that works for you.

I have a nice PS box from a 81 z28. I doubt it fits 3rd gens but I'm not sure. I guess $40 if it is of any use.

that will work just fine. 81 even has the metric o-ring fittings. some 3rd gen boxes might have tighter ratios but given the BBC route I'm thinking that 81Z box ratio is more than adequate.
