Results from Etown 3/19/05

Whats up guys. I took my 95 trans am out to etown yesterday and i was pretty happy with my numbers. Ran the car five times..

My best Time was 14.018 at 98mph with a 2.046 60' f

I was cutting consistent 14.0** all day. My mods are a SLP cai, vortech elbow, airfoil and nitto street tires. I was pullin hard for a 13.99 but it didnt happen today. The track conditions were excellent. SLP Loudmouth is on the way so hopefully that'll put me in the high 13's

Squirrel 03-20-2005 10:07 AM

M6 or A4? 8)

95transam 03-20-2005 10:25 AM

It's an A4. So how do my numbers sound to everybody?

j0n 03-20-2005 10:58 AM

great times! what was your exact mph...im thinkin that my car might be really messed up if u turned the same mph that i did w/ a cai only yet u handed me my ass on rt9 :(

95transam 03-20-2005 11:07 AM

My exact mph on that run was 98.01. My best mph of the day was 98.87. Not sure why our mph's are the same

Fastbird 03-20-2005 11:25 AM

Honestly, for having a CAI, 98 MPH is a tad low. These things usually trap right about 99-100 bone stock. Do you have any idea what the DA was when you were at the track?

12secondv6 03-20-2005 11:29 AM

I was there also :)

Best run.... 14.009 at 91.88.... off throttle and not full stall :(

95transam 03-20-2005 11:30 AM

This may sound stupid but what do you mean by DA? I was also running on 3/4 tank of gas which maybe slowed me down a bit?

95transam 03-20-2005 11:31 AM

I saw a really quick v6 there. Is your license plate V8killer?

Density Altitude. Basically an equation that takes the weather conditions and corrects the track altitude to the weather altitude. The warmer and higher the humidity the higher the density altitude, meaning the air is less dense translating into slower times.

i did a 14.0 in my SS..and i trapped at 110...so yeah...mph doesnt always accurately reflect ET depending on traction, conditions, etc.

foff667 03-20-2005 01:16 PM

my 94 formy with just a CAI ran 13.7's@99-100mph fwiw...but it only had ~25k miles on it when i bought it.

Damn i just heard from a member on fbody.com that etown is going to ban slp loudmouths and open cutouts in the next coming months...Thats ridiculous...anyone hear about this?

enRo 03-20-2005 03:01 PM

Blame the neighbors of Etown...

Im gonna puposely hold a circuit race through every development in that fking area... high decibals allowed.

95transam 03-20-2005 03:03 PM

I live in Marlboro which is about 10 min from the track so whoever wants to meet up and go piss those people off im good for it haha...From what i heard they are going to ban cutouts and Loudmouths. I ordered The Loudmouth II so hopefully they won't ban that one

If they ban the Loudmouth, you're out too....the only difference in yours is that it is much easier to swap in a different muffler to quiet things down.

95transam 03-20-2005 03:09 PM

If they end up banning LM's what should i do? Is there anything i can put in place of the muffler?

Tru2Chevy 03-20-2005 03:36 PM

The new exhaust systems from SLP are modular....meaning you can swap the muffler to one of their other offerings (or any other muffler with the same dimensions) without cutting and re-welding the system.

If you have a stock exhaust system with a cutout or Loudmouth, I'm not too sure how strict they will be with it. I'm sure its mostly meant for the guys with headers, no cats, and running an open exhaust. Those are about 20x louder than a stock exhaust system with cutout/loudmouth.

but its Etown, so who knows
