Use the TORN END(of a matchstick) from a book of matches. Just pull off one match, and use that end. The paper will absorb just enough paint to lay down a nice clean line. Also make sure the paint if fairly THINNED OUT. If it is too thick, it will also glob up. Last, make sure to do it on a warm/ dry car. This cold weather also will not permit the paint to dry.
