Chevy S10 Question

I recently picked up a 1995 Chevy S-10. The problem I am having is the tranny, it is definatly on its way out and needs to either be replaced or rebuilt. However, will an f-body transmission work in there? It is a 4L60E in there, I wonder if either the V6 or V8 Trans has the same bellhousing and would work for this application.

Thanks

yah i think it would depend on if its a 4x4 or 4x2 but the bolt patterns should be the same from most fbody applications except ls1's.
