i get that too sometimes with limewire...thats why i use bearshare a lot more...it downloads a little faster and i have yet to encounter a "corrupt" file (knocks on wood)...

Al if you have the free version of limewire, use it to download the "pro" version that you would normally have to pay for. it seems to work a lot better than the free version.

Will do Justin, will do. I know 2 of my friends that have set up there houses. For whatever reason, reception in my house, be it telephone, cell, whatever, sucks. I sometimes think my house is possessed.

the reason yer encountering so many corrupt files is because you are now finding out exactly what the record industry is doing to prevent illegal dl's. no matter what service you use, in due time they will all have corrupt files for most "new" or popular songs. i read in newsweek awhile ago that the record companies actually pay a lot of people to put corrupt or fake music files out on the systems and flood them out so people get tired of trying and give up. its worked on me, i dont bother with popular songs anymore, i wait a few months then i can usually get them no prob.

w i n M X is where it's at. i don't have to babysit it like DC or BT or bearshare, imesh, or limewire. they already shut down the main site for w i n M X and 7 days later we were back up and running again. now, that's persistence. the bogus files are easier to spot with w i n M X before you start downloading, too. some people will never come around. better for us that have, i think. lots fewer users asking "how do i...?"
