i think you need documentation for the engine swap. good luck. if they are stupid or you go private, might sneak under the radar. wasn't their issues with this car? i remember my buddy looking at it on craigslist.

I wouldn't imagine him having any problems. Pre 96 gets a sniff test, if anything it should have less emissions.

No known issues, the trans was recently rebuilt maybe thats what your talking about. The wheels on the car now are firebird 16 in. but they wont be on long. Future brother in law is doing the inspection at his goodyear.

The window motor would normally fail you, but if you have family doing it, then you should be fine.

That's a pretty good looking swap. Good luck with it.

Yea I never really used it much in any of my fbods anyway..supposedly it kills like 10 hp . Its only going to be a nice weather/weekend cruiser anyway, dont need it for daily duty.

it does kill some hp, but the significant part is taking the weight off the nose

Autozone sells the window motor with a life time guarantee.

http://www.autozone.com/R,133350/veh...ductDetail.htm

Here's a link that details the process.

http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor.html

Fairly easy, just need to be careful not to break the plastic clips on the door. And the window switch cluster can be a PITA to get off/on. Putting in the motor itself is easy.

Window motor swap is easy, Ive done 4 of them. Ebay motors work great for $20 but the autozone warranty is appealing (Ebay motors are slow in cold weather). That write up is pretty good, I wish I had it my first time around. First time install took me an hour with no instructions, so expect about 40 min.

To add to the write up:
1. Remove your front speaker. The install is so much easier when you can reach up from that angle.
2. When you bore a hole into the side panel to get to the rivets, wear gloves. The door panel is a fiber composite; shards of it can get stuck in your skin and they are itchy, also bad to breathe in.

Goodluck with the install, and congrats on an LS1
