2000 Saturn SL1 oil leak
Any one know of if these cars have problem areas with oil leaks? Just changed the oil/filter (fuucking dealer asshats had the filter on there tight ) and noticed a leak above the starter area. Not sure of what is up there so if any one has any experiance with these cars please speak up.

the only thing I can think of that leaks around the starter is if you pulled the dipstick tube out to install headers, and the dipstick tube wasn't re-installed correctly

um, well my family has an sl1... i said family because its kinda like a car that everyone drives... i can look around the engine a little bit if i drive it this weekend, i know we replaced the head gasket on it at around i think 100k miles, that was caused by a dexcool thing im pretty sure, i would think you would know if it was a head gasket because of overheating and foamy coolant. how low does it get?

I have some oil leak detection dye if you want to try it. You mix it in with the oil and use a black light to check around where it's leaking from.
