The object is to get a good buzz going and make it last all day long, not suck down a bottle in 45 minutes and then run around making a j0n out of yourself!  And stick with beer, it takes longer to kick in than the JD or rum.

bah...beer tastes like ****...ill shoot jack over sipping beer any day...but i prefer jack and coke

5 years from now you'll be drinking beer because you'll get tired of not knowing what you did the previous night and you can only  so many times before it catches up with you. And I'm not referring to nasty beer like Coors Light, Miller Light, Bud Light but more like Yuengling, Sam Adams, Flying Fish, Stoudts, Sierra Nevada, Harpoon, Molson. They didn't have many good beers back in my day so we had to send somebody off to Canada(went to school in Rochester) to bring back cases of Molson from Canada. It's much smoother and stronger than the crap they sell here in the US.

only beer ive had is budweiser...and bud light...but thats piss water not beer...and i have yet to throw up as a result of drinking

Maybe not yet, but you will. But you have no clue what you did while you were drunk. That should scare you even more. You never know what you might wake up with!

JD, Bud, rum...drink whatever works for you. I've been a JD drinker for the past 10 years, I just know how to pace myself to maintain the happy buzz, and hate all beer taste. I also know that if I want to get wasted, I don't have to pound beers and get that full feeling or fear mixing different types of alcohol. I had the blackout nights early in my drinking life, but learned from my mistakes, as I'm sure j0n will(hell, I got him drinking J&C's). Giving him everclear, however, wasn't my doing.
Good burbon/whiskey>beer, for me at least.

Yeah, stay away from Everclear. But my point is, there's no reason to get wasted out of your mind. You'll figure that out eventually. Drink and have a good time and get a good buzz. Nothing like having beer on tap at home along with JD, JB and all their friends!
