				Anyone know where I can find heavy-duty T-56's?
			 
			 
			
		
		
		
			
			when i build my monster Camaro in the next year or so, I'd like to have a T-56 in it. Problem is, from what i hear, they don't like huge amounts of power and torque.  i want to have the car done within a year or two. I figure if i don't have it done before I start looking for a place to live and all the other things that come with life, I'll never be able to do it. So i want to build the car first, that way i can devote my time and money to the other stuff later on.

			I don't think your going to find much more from a manual then about 900-1000HP. There are a few 9 seconds 4th gens using an upgraded T56 and not having problems, but who knows how long they will last.  
 
 I also don't think there are many trans that will hold up due to the wieght on our cars. Even a Lenco will die in a 3000+ LB car. Not sure if Baxter was running a TH350 or glide in his 97Z. But he was around 1300HP and I know he hurt a few trans.

 I also don't think there are many trans that will hold up due to the wieght on our cars. Even a Lenco will die in a 3000+ LB car. Not sure if Baxter was running a TH350 or glide in his 97Z. But he was around 1300HP and I know he hurt a few trans.
