				Parts collections

Anybody else on here have a stockpile of the same part or part(s) that is kinda beyond resonable?
Example: I own 7 alternators. All V-belt. Granted, it's fun to collect the whole set, but what the hell am I going to do with all them?

And before I started building my muffler blues band I had a collection of 16 coil springs.

So who else ended up with too many of a particular part?

Although not exactly like that, every time I work on my car, I end up with parts that don't end up back on, and as a result I have most of the stock 1995 Z28 in my basement, from wheels to exhasut.

I go through everything once a year, try to clean out stuff but always come up with a "good" reason to keep it laying around.

or the complete C&C T-Top setup which I don't own a car that uses them and no one needs. Hell, most people probably never heard of them, or don't realize that their car has them.

I have a small collection of burnt out mass air sensors that I keep telling myself I'm going to polish the ends and re-sell.

Oh, I'm not talking about overall collections. SmokingSS, ted gerlach, and the guys that part cars out will rule that group. I'm talking a crazy amount of one or two particular parts.

Probably about 7 sets of extra wheels, 8 sets of tires up to 35", 5 Center consoles for 64-65 Chevelle W/ Shifters, 10+ Driveshafts for random crap, 5-440 Mopar motors, and all sorts of other crap that we accumulated over the years.

Windshield Wipers. I'm set for life with windshield wipers. Back when K-mart was about to go out of business, and was emtying out the store selling everything like 60-70% off my dad bought all the windshield wipers for like $.70 a piece. So I have like 20 windshield wipers of various sizes, and thats after using quite a few of them.
