last week some time at my school a kid was brutally beeten for what he wore around his neck. The kids name was Ray something or other, but anyway hes a tall skinny white kid with long blond hair that i guess you would call goth, always dressed in balck everybody notices in the halways walking around looks kind of nuts but is actually one of the nicest kids youll ever meet, well aparently he came to school wearing a knuese around his neck, now keep in mind this is not the kind you can actually hang yourself with, just a novelty neckless.
anyway Ray haveing a normall day walked into the cafateria and was aproached by a black male student who demanded he take the neckless off because he found it offensive because of the black lynching one hundred years ago, Ray without saying a word took it off and left it off the entire time he has eating lunch not thinking anyhting more of the request.
After eating and walking out of the cafateria he proceeded to put the neckless back on and was spotted by the student who had peviously requested him to not were the neckles. Ray was then aproached by three black males punched in the face knocking him to the ground and kicked a number of times in numerous areas after the fight was stoped by other students Ray was rushed to the hospital with a shattered FACE and in critical condition he is now going throught the process of reconstuctive surgury and was told if he ever gets hit in the face again he will most likeley not survive the impact of a hard hit. NOW THATS SOME KIND OF BULL **** IF YOU ASK ME. highschool just isnt fun if student have to worry about people beeting the **** out of them.

And why the hell would they gang up on him? Three to one?!?! thats not fair at all. Oh, BOO HOO, you offended me by wearing a necklace that looks like a nuse. I'm gonna get my friends and we're beat your ass down! Give me a ****ing break. I have no tolerance for people who do things like that. If I did that everytime I was offended I would be in jail right now. I may come across as insensitive, but slavery ended a long time ago... GET OVER IT! Those kids that beat the other kid are probably well taken care of. New clothes and new shoes, oh yeah slavery set them specifically WAY back! Grow up! Slavery wasn't right, I agree, but its over, move on. A kid wears a necklace around his neck and someone thinks its all about them and their race so they have to hospitalize the poor kid. Imagine I went up to them and said "take off your nike's, my dad lost his job because of them and I'm very offended by them." same thing, different point of view. Ugh, I'm done ranting about how much I hate dumb people.

Wow. As an educator, this scares the crap outta me. It's my worst nightmare come true. I surely hope the "students" that did this are expelled and then prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Since there are tons of witnesses, they should be doing some jail time. And, since they're in HS, I'm gonna imagine that they're either 18, or close enough where they could be prosecuted as an adult for a racially motivated attack. IIRC, bias crimes carry a stiffer penalty.

Poor kid and what's worse is that these 3 morons are going to end up adding to an already violent stereotype

. Slavery, HA, those kids where already angry about something else. I'm speculating but it could be as simple as not having a father figure in the home. Think about it, if they had a father with self worth they'd never punch a kid in the face for something so stupid for fear that their father would put them to work around the house for a VERY long time. Instead these kids are probably only going to see a punishment come from some athority figure outside their family. This isn't going to teach them anything other than to hate and blame somebody else for their anger.
I pity those kids and every other black student that has just had their reputation tarnished... Somebody should force "American History X" into the school's curriculum.

i went to the band concert at the highschool there, cuz i graduated from there, to see some old friends. my old music teacher took a moment to thank Ray for being there and playing that night. I can't believe he managed to play still. His face was still swollen, and he had a lot of broken blood vessels in his left eye, pretty much solid red. and lot of facial bruising. almost hard to look at. Ray is one of the niceest kids and most harmless ones you could ever meet in your life. i didnt even know about this before the concert and i hadnt heard anything from my brother before hand, but damn. but he seems to be doing much better i guess, thank goodness.

I hope they get treated as adults and pay the penalty as adults. That isn't even a fight, that's a straight out beating. Seems more gang related than anything else. There's absolutely no reason for something like that to happen.

Anyway this is ********....3 on 1 is never a fight it's a beating. They should definitely be prosecuted to the fullest extent. The fact that it took that long to break it up gives me little faith in the rest of the students there. In high school I'd always step in to break up a fight if it wasn't 1 on 1. Now a 1on 1 fight.....that's always fun to watch unless someone is getting beat unmercifully.
