on which of two camaros to buy -
1: 1985 5 speed t tops CD player nice sound system. Blue metallic no flaws in paint (except mirror has scratch) 305 just needs new valve seals. 110,000 miles 1800 bucks
2: 1991 5 speed t tops. All stock. This car was side swiped but looks like easy fix. 134,000 miles 2200 bucks

the 91 has a stronger transmission, engine, interior, etc. It all depends on how much it'll cost to fix the damage. If it costs more than $1000 then I'd go with #1 or hold out for a better condition 91/92.
Does the 91 have a 305 TBI and what about the 85? Is it TPI or CCC?

Thanks! I don't know camaros so I knew you guys would give me the facts I need. The '91 has a 305 carburated. Looks like I can compund the scratches out and knock the dents out myself.

91 never came with a 305 carbed. They were TBI which is EFI, sure it's a carb?

I saw the car briefly (its out on Long Island) and the owner dosen't seem to know much about it. I did hear it run & the motor was very quiet. I'm going to go take another look at it before I finally decide.

the tbi and ccc both have the same air cleaner assembly so maybe thats why you or he thinks its a carb? thats my thoughts.

Got the Camaro Home
Chose the blue one. It was more beautiful in person. I had to go all the wa out to exit 57 on the LIE (phew). All the way back to Jersey it turned heads and I got thumbs up. Needs little odds & ends so let the fun begin!

Thanks guys! Well it has power windows/locks. hear no wind noise through the T tops. Its a Z28. She smokes but I think it needs new valve seals. Also could use a new exaust system & headers. I'll really go through it in the morning!

If your car is a 4bbl carb, I got a custom dual intake for it for sale. I fabricated it myself.
