Anybody here have 1 of these Helix power towers on ur LS-1?

Hey everybody while searching the internet and ebay for Performance parts for my LS-1 I came across this item The Helix power tower plus Throttle body spacer
[/url]http://www.streetandperformanceelectronics.com/hptp.htm

It claims to give up to a 22 hp gain
Up to 25 ft lb gain in Torque
Up to 4 miles per gallon gains
Has anybody ever tried it or have one in their LS-1?? i've seen them for sale online at 89 bucks a kit but wasnt sure if it was the typical B.S. claims
maybe one of you guys have one or know somebody that has one because i read online alot of the 4x4 truck guys use these kits on their 5.7 motors what do you guys think??plus i know alot of the guys with Carburetor motors use these type of things for a little extra power and i have heard of them used on LT-1 throttles what are the gains with the spacer on the LT-1? it might even be worth the $ if it atleast helped the car get better gas mileage, Plus i read one review of it where the guy said it made a whining noise like a supercharger LOL hmm maybe its just another B.S. item

When my truck was a stock 4.8 ( an ls1 derivitive) I had one of these on it. NO gain in anything but noise!

junk...why not take your ls1 to the next level & throw in a 3000+ stall converter...that'll wake your car up more then anything at your power level.

ah thanks badz i was almost gonna experiment with it but 90 bucks is alot of money for b.s. mod. the only thing that had me hopeful of it was that i knew some people use spacers on their carbs for a few more Horespower and then i remember back a few years seeing them for the LT-1 throttle body but i never got one for my 95 but thanks for the tip i'll look for more promising mods
