If you can live with sending them out defenitly send them to Lloyd Elliot. I hear amazing things come out of his shop. Unless you plan on making crazy rediculous power just stick to stock style ported heads with 1.6 roller rockers & port match the intake. You should defenitly pick up a nice gain with that little combo!

See... the problem is that i only have $41 in my bank acount. So basicly im at the mercy of trying to get my pops(the biggest ******* in the world) to front me the money. I did the math today n just up to this point, just to keep the car running somewhat decent, ive spent a total of 7gs on the car. $3500 of it is wat i bought it for so i kinda cant ask my moms to help me out cuz if it was up to her the car would be torched in my driveway just "to teach me a lesson" according to her.

so why not just save yourself some money and go with a stock set of heads and keep yourself out of debt. You can always save the money up later and do it when you wont be at the mercy of other people.

edelbrock heads are junk. less than 100hp jump and thats using their matched cam and throttle body. get loyd elliot or advanced induction if you can afford it but since you said you cant...im wondering why you need new heads? did you crack one? both? why do you need two heads? cant you just rebuild your valvetrain and be done with it for much cheaper until you can afford some aftermarket stuff?

When i did the starter the other day i decided to take the y pipe off and when i looked up into the left header it was all soaked with antifreeze. My boss was saying that its either a head gasket, the head is cracked or its warped. Plus the car had a nasty tap a few weeks ago but i put heavier oiul in it and i went away. Also majority of the header bolts are broken inside of the heads(the **** b4 me decided to just keep puting bigger n bigger bolts in) he also cross threaded most likely all of them. I was just asking bout the head cuz i was pricing it out and the engine shop right down the street, R&L, said $450 just to look and pressure check then and the to fix anything its like $125 an hour plus parts. So my boss then said might as well put brandy new ones on and itll probably just end up being the same $$$. I was thinking with out doin anything else to the motor, puttin brand new heads on will just make the bottom end get messed up.

Fred (Injuneer) is a good guy, he wouldn't sell you junk. I would grab heads from him and a set of rockers (if your stockers aren't ok) and toss them all on with fresh gaskets.

The heads are in exactly the condition they came off my car at 60K miles. They were not showing any signs of stress. I did a compression test shortly before the engine was taken down and all cylinders were showing 190-200psi. The engine was basically stock, with bolt-ons at that point, and was in perfect condition. I only tore it down to built the 381 stroker.

I haven't looked at them, or disassembled them since they came off the car. If you buy them, and find any defects after they are tanked and checked, I'll give you your money back.
