come to find out it was maf being coated with K&N oil apparently...cleaned his maf & put in a paper filter...done...no more ping

well the problem was gone after cleaning the maf but i did a seafoam treatment and a tune up and its back again full force

i think he removed it for a fram filter...still has the stock maf but he had descreened it...his KR/actual detonation has gone down severely the second time I scanned his car....then he went ahead & did a bunch of regular maintenance & all of a sudden its back again in full force.

What all did your tuneup consist of besides seafoam?

well for everyone who still may lookat this thread it was the gas that caused the problem enitrely i used a cheap station a couple times and didnt remember or even think of it as beingthe problem but i now run sunoco 93 and i havent heard it sense in about 1 month
