I went to the last show in 2003 in West Palm Beach, FL. Rained in the morning, cloudy in teh afternoon, clear night by the time it ended. Wet, cold, muddy and buzzed. Bad combo trying to drive home, but had a blast. I learned to take two towels for the car and a garbage bag to sit on when on the lawn.
Got seats this time.
And no dates for PNC. Seems Camden is it.

A lawn ticket is 49 bucks this year. They advertised them as being 20 but when I got the tix I asked the girl at Ticketmaster what happened to the $20 tix, she said she didn't know, they must have been a presale special. Still...Zombie, Lacuna Coil, Hatebreed, Walls of Jericho, Black Label Society and Ozzy.

I saw Ozzfest last summer. I love Sabbath. What a freaking letdown. Ozzy can't sing any of it anymore. Everything tuned down 2 steps. Bill Ward was embarrassing. He couldn't keep up, screwed up during every song and looked like he was going to die. I hope & pray Iommi & Geezer go out & tour w/o them, in small places. I am willing to bet Iommi squashed them playing at the US R&R HOF show (he did, I am speculating why) because did not want want another televised embarassment at like they did at the UK one last year. Ozz was out of key & Ward lost time.
Maiden was awesome (always are) last year, and from what I read & heard, blew the Sabs away every night last year. The Irons were the true headliners. When I went, when the Sabs came on, 1/2 the seats were empty by mid set. That is why that bitch wife of ozzy arragned for their set to be sabotaged on the last date they played the festival. Had the power pulled a few times during the set, got people (including Zakk & pals) to throw things at the stage during the show. Based on that act alone, Sharon Ozz will never get anymore of my $$. It woud have to be a miracle line up to get me to go. (However we may just go hang in the PNC lot & drink, sans tickets )
Plus they did the whole second stage, then the main stage. Too much down time. They used to alternate, IIRC.
I saw System last September in Philly. They were pretty good, but oddly lifeless on stage. Quite the contrast to Anthrax, who we saw earlier in the year (go buy their new concert DVD - I was there!). Those guys can't stand still.
Iommi Rules!!!!!!!!

in 02 at PNC, they did the whole 2nd stage first during the day, then later on they went to the main stage (where andrew WK opened up, and nobody liked him)

Maiden truly is awesome. They sounded great, put on a great show and played oldschool. Did anyone see ozzfest'04. Judas Priest owned all on the main stage. Ozz was sick, so we got Rob Halford with Sabbath. Un-F@#*ing believably awesome. Slipknot ruled the second stage followed closely by Lacuna Coil, Otep & God Forbid.

The Halford/Sabbath performance was supposedly captured on video...though I havent been able to find it yet. If theres money to be made Sharon Osbourne will be all over it.
