I chose not to go any faster when I got on it because one, Janice was screaming that I was scaring her, and two, the whole car was shuddering, as expected, and i wouldn't push it with my best friend in the car. God forbid something happen and I kill my best friend. So i maintained speed, and then dropped it. I probably could have kept ahead, but there was no reason to try.

Then my 3.1 has the same hp/tq, trans (TH125), and lockup disconnected. Lockup solenoid went bad on mine 6 or 7 years ago...
