need advice...removing spray paint from car

...ok.. this is sort of a strange situation, and somewhat personally bothers me. I have an 88 iroc. The last owner didnt like having a red car, so he spray painted the car black... and didnt even bother to tape anything off. I want to repaint the car in a month or 2 and i know that all the black paint needs to come off. I figure i could just sand everything but i was wondering... Is there was an easier way to get the black off quickly before i start sanding/prepping the red? light duty paint stripper or such? graffiti remover?

Now heres the personal part, i originally bought this car in '99 and the red paint was fine. Due to finacial reasons i had to sell it in 2002. Well now that i recently bought it back, its really sad to see it in its current condition(its been through 2 owners since me) i already ripped the dahm import aluminum spoiler off...and the hood thats on it now is NOT my taste and is being sold. At least now the car has another chance to be a real car once again.

I'd just sand the car with a DA.

yeah i guess thats the best way. I'm replacing the front clip and rear bumper anyway, so its mainly the doors, 1/4 panels, trunk lid, and tonneu cover i'd need to clean up.

...poor car...

and this is when i owned it...
