third gen window adjustment?

Anyone any good at adjusting the power windows on a thirdgen?

I think my driver side is off its track and needs some lubrication, mainly because it goes up unevenly when compared to the passenger side, will stop about an inch from the top (ie it trips the circuit breaker) and then needs all kinds of help getting that last inch.

anyone know how to do this step by step?

You might start by pulliong the door panel off & greasing the tracks.

Try thirdgen.org under tech articles. There is a whole article on adjusting 3rd gens.

what kind of grease is recommended...white lithium?

also, can all the areas needing lubrication be accessed by popping off the door panel? i mean ive had the panel off before, and it didnt seem like anything was very easy to get to.

You should be able to get to the tracks. White lith should be good. You may have broken parts.

The rollers are plastic (I THINK), they break. I don't know the 3rd gen details. But if the window is not coming up straight, who knows. Pull the panel & look.

None of this is fun. I'm not good at it either. Ugh.
