ouch...they have no parking after 2AM in nutley too, but it's only a $24 fine and i've never gotten a ticket before 4AM. 65% of the time, they don't even ticket me for parking on the street overnight.

2:35 sucks

haha Fair Lawn has the same thing and they actually enforce it in my girlfriends neighbor hood. Ive never had a problem yet and the latest I was ever there was 3-4am. Usually if your actually staying there for a while all you have to do is call the PD.

Regardless thats such a lame ass ticket.

That blows man. Don't feel too bad though, my neighbor got a ticket one night for leaving his truck parked on the street in Bergenfield too. Course, it was ~only~ right outside his own house!

How dumb is that... You have to call your plates in and say your from out of town if you want to not get that ticket...

my towns the same way, makes a lot of sense, if theres a car on the street over night the cops can easily spot a car that doesnt belong, also IMO it makes the town look 10x cleaner, although i would have a few more cars if i could park on the street all the time

Damn, Phelps isn't even a busy street! I grew up on that block, and it's nice and quiet at night; plenty of good places on the side streets to sneak in a burnout or two. Oops, did I say that out loud?

Nutley's PD got really pissed at me for calling my car in every other night and stopped letting me. This was when we had 4 cars trying to fit in a 3 car driveway.

They don't create laws like that to make the town look nicer, they do it to generate income, plain and simple.

If Ewing ever did that, my family would be screwed. We have 6 cars, and a two car driveway.

Both. Income #1, removal of abandoned cars #2. That is the ‘look good’ part. It’s something like 3 tickets & a tow.

I've gotten away with it a few times. There are certain streets that you will almost never see a cop on. Now I've gone and jinxed myself LOL.

that ticket overnight is such crap. they make in places where it is not needed. It is a uneccessary law and it should be voted against in town meetings, since the state has nothing to do with it. Just like those ****ing speed humps that everyone town is putting up.

Heh....doesn't apply to me. The car that doesn't move is in one of the two driveway spaces. All 4 that park on the street get driven daily (or almost daily).

Well, if people keep stop speeding down residential roads, they would not need speed humps.
