Pulling codes in a 95 LT1

I was told you can "jump" the "D" and "L" ports and then turn the key and the number of times the CEL flashes is the code that it's throwing...this sound correct?

That won't work on a 95, you need a scanner (OBDI scan software with an OBDII connector).

You can just use jumper wires with your scan cable or scanner like shown. I would offer to scan it for you as I have my cable set up to work on either application but you are like a hour away.

well if j0n wants to try that ill bring the scanner tool up to him, i live about an hour away from him also...its his choice.

thanks guys the local mechanic did it for me as a favor...but for whatever reason his scan tool wasnt connected with the pcm when it came to reading the airbag and abs lights
