lack of power at low rpm's
I noticed it when I was driving it 2 weeks ago when I got pulled over All of the sudden the car got real rough at idle and I felt lack of power in low RPM's, then when I step on the gas more it feels it bypasses the range and it feels normal. I went over the spark plugs and wires and I still have this problem. Any ideas?

is it only at a certain speed/RPM or is it only when the gas pedal is at one spot?

its RPM because I found the spot while I was reving it from the engine itself. The idle was low (about 500 rpm) and it was rough and sometimes sounded like it was going to stall. I'd rev it a bit and I'd hear it running ******, then pushed it a little higher and it was fine once I passed that range.

Found the problem! I started the car tonight and looked for arching...sure enough the wire boot for the 7th cylinder plug got burned a little and I see it arching off the primary tube. So now I gotta call hooker and ask them what to do because their design is what screwed me up.

you're gonna blame a header manufacturer for a spark plug wire getting burned?

The boot got burned, not the wire. Read on tgo, its a common/known problem. The only wire that comes close to fitting is a 90 degree boot, which I have and it sits on the primary tube. Problem is the number 7 primary tube coms too close to the spark plug. I read guys just took a hammer and dented it. I didn't pay $600 for coated headers that are suppose to fit to do a little "massage" work and ruin the coating.

I just called tech and he was no help to me. He said "i usually recomend taylor wires because the boot is smaller" So I said well, it's BS that I have to go buy another set of wires to work specifically with these headers when they're suppose to fit everything. He then said "they do fit stock wires" and I replied, "no they don't, because the stock wires arent 90* boots, they're straight" Then he says "well you can get stock wires with a 90* boot" Friggin useless. Cody, which tsylor wires do you have? I just looked some up and they appear to have the same size boot as the MSD

Just pick up a set of boot protectors and you'll be set.

Well you should replace that one boot first, then sleeve them all.
