The LSX is out (Insert Drool Here)
Saw this on another forum. Decided to share:
http://www.gmgoodwrench.com/GMPerfor...6454&engCat=ls
Dream bigger. Because the new GM Performance Parts LSX takes the LS-series V8 to the ultimate extreme. Shaped from 50-plus years of V8 know-how and refined with the speed secrets of Warren "The Professor" Johnson, the LSX block was engineered to handle up to 2,500 horsepower, all for a price that will have the rest of the world wondering how we did it. Build your dream with LSX, available March 2007.

That is the motor Reggie was 'selling' the other day. See the display sign (that is SEMA)
Now people know why GM wanted to trademark LSx a while back (I remember a minor stink about it in various forums)

not actually out, just specs released. we were drooling over the info they have available for it and the GMPP people said they won't be available for at least 6 months and at first it will only be hte standard deck height version. the tall deck block will follow a few months after that.

the block will cost about $2000. 6 head bolts/cylinder on an iron block capable of over 500ci (tall deck version) that weighs over 200 pounds. this thing is basically gonna own all FI applications. this block alone, is the reason GM should give us a factory blown motor in the new camaro. i'm happy

If the block is $2000, consider one sold to me
