LT1 missfire... AHHH!!!

hey guys... at work today and went to go pick up lunch my car starts missfireing... so i scanned it and cylinder 7 had a miss so i pulled to plug and it seemed to be fine... (wasnt even wet) and the wires are new as well with heat sheilds... so i cleaned the plug and put it back in and it seemed to run better but as soon as i got out to the road it was deff still missing... is there any thing on LT1's that are known to cause a miss... the opti only has maybe 5000 miles on it at the most.... im kinda stuck... it was raining today so i dont know if somthing got wet so ill have to see what happens in the morning with it... but its never acted like this in the rain before so im stumped... thanks guys in advance...

did you put a new opti on or a cap/rotor kit? and if its a whole new opti did you open it up to verify that everything looked good and locktite the rotor screws?

yea it would make sense about the rotor if every cylinder was misfiring...but with new plugs/wires the next(last?) thing to check would be the cap...hopefully it goes away before ya gotta tear it down that far

is the spark plug wire snapped into the opti real nice? I fiddled with my boot and slid it back so it would "snap" in there.

if all spark is good, maybe its your injector not firing ......

yea i checked the wire at both ends and they are snuggly snapped in.... i just checked the injector connector really quick to look for broken wires or if it was not snapped in or somthing and it was fine so im kinda stumped if it doesnt go away im gonna try replacing the plug before i rip apart the opti cause thats alot of work otherwise...i dont know what would have gotten wet today taht would cause this miss tho... im so stumped my experience only goes so far

Are the wires in the stock locations? Make sure it's not cut or touching the exhaust.

You said the pug wasn't wet? Could the injector be going bad or clogged? Maybe swap the injector to the other back and see if the miss changes cylinders?

I know you checked the fitment of the plugs wires but look for tears and check to make sure it is actually firing. If it is I would guess a bad/clogged injector.
