				Clutch Break In Period

I just had the SLP clutch, pressure plate and flywheel packaged installed and i LOVE IT!!!
i was wondering if anyone knew what the normal break in time was for a new clutch. the new rotors and break pads i installed a couple weeks ago have a 250-500 mile "bedding" period. I was wondering if new clutch "packages" have the same?

Most I have heard about call for 500 miles of easy driving. Check with the manufacturer to be sure.....

 | My take on it is this: It's all about heat cycling. Like when you burnish brake pads, or ring and pinion gears. I'd imagine that you would have problems in two situations-

1.) If you don't drive the car hard enough to get it warm
2.) You drive the car too hard and you get it too hot.

 | Depends on the manufacturer, SPEC (I know lots of people don't like them) clearly says in their destructions 400-600 miles, not highway miles though. Their website says tech dept said 600-800 miles....given the problems some people have with SPEC clutches I took the high side and put 800 miles of around-town type driving on the clutch before doing any type of aggressive driving....and no problems to report after 2 autoX events, 4 trips to atco, and numerous blasts on the street....

I'd say 500 is a good number....
