simple question on tires
Kid Racer and I cant seem to agree on something here and i would appreciate everyones views on this one-
we have a tire lets say its 245 50 15
What is the first number? the height or the treadwidth?
Me- treadwidth in mm kidracer says its the height
whats the second number ? the aspect ratio (height) or treadwidth
me- aspect ratio kid racer- width
3rd number is the rim size
we agreed on that one lol
EDIT: now i know there are certain instances for slicks and All terrain tires EX 26x10.50x16 or 35X12.50x 16, but we werent talkin about those

245 = width in mm, 50 = height in percentage of the width, 15 = wheel size

first number is treadwidth...
i beleive its in millimeters .. or centimeters ... or something metric
245 is tread width ..
50 means 50% of the tread width is the sidewall height
15 is rim size
at least thats what i been telling my self for a long time

-15 = rim size in inches, 15inch rim

First number (245) is section width. Not necessarily tread width. Sidewall to sidewall.
