New Viper ups the score...
I was just reading that the new Viper will have 600 HP in order to trump the Z06 and GT500. Looks like war has been declared...

Hmmm yes, a Viper... which has just as bad handling as a dump truck filled with rocks.... lol I wouldnt imagine how the handling be with an extra 90 horses lol

To me, it doesn't matter if the Viper has 1000hp.
Its V-10 will forever sound like crap.

i just keep seeing ford and chrysler "raising the bar" with a bunch of short production run vehicles that still don't hang with an off the shelf Z06 that they will build as many as people care to buy, and usually for more money.

i agree, its almost like those (ford & chrysler) want to try to be the fastest of the 3 domestic muscle cars (chevy, dodge, ford) but that will never happen I guess Chevy will have to prove that yet again this year. im interested in seeing that "Blue Devil" vette' and its performance #'s

i am not saying the stuff they come out with isn't cool, it just doesn't seem worth all the hype in the end. maybe someday they will understand that it is actually profitable to make awesome cars that are available to everyone at a fair market price. but until they understand, GM will continue to pwn the ferd and dodge products

the Viper GTS was definately one of the most beautifully styled cars in history IMHO.
but this isn't about looks, it is about performance compared to hype. it has been a long time since the viper could claim it was on top, and that trend is likely to continue.
