Got a new part for the car!

I've always wanted one of these, and I found an awesome deal on it, it should be arriving by in a week or so!
Its a 4-point Race Roll Bar from Auto Power Industries. This summer I might be going to Skip Barber racing school with my girlfriends mom who is very important in the Car & Driver world so I'm hoping this gets me jump started for when i start to try out some Auto-X! Its always been a dream of mine to road race and all that sorts. Since I got the racing seats, I figured I would complete it with a bar, and proper harness equipment.

		| The Race roll bar is designed for solo, auto cross and high speed time trials. All Race roll bars have a diagonal cross brace and most have a harness mount tube. Autopower will select tube size and type for your needs.
Race roll bars are made with 1.750 x .120 DOM steel.
Cars weighing more than 3500 lbs. use 2" x 120 ERW steel.
4 point mounting with welded diagonal cross brace.
All necessary installation and mounting hardware with back-up plates is included.
 | Its bolt in, but I have access to both a Mig & a Tig welder, so I can easily make it NHRA legal by adding the 2 front bars with swing outs.

you would have to remove that diagonal bar to make it nhra legal unless they have changed the rules regarding the path of the helmet bar in the last few years. last i read up on it, nothing is allowed to pass between the helmet bar and the seats.

			Nice.
Now that weight mod known as 'throw out the rear seats' is very viable. Since no one will be able to safely ride back there (if they'd even fit).

Feather-light suspension, Konis just couldn't hold. I'm so glad I took a look inside your showroom doors.
