DId someone forget to fix the server for the time change?

Time still says it's 9:30...it's 10:30

If anyone else forgot, we went ahead an hour this morning.

If you are like me and are still using an old OS, or if you don't have a legal copy of XP, you can go about changing your time zone settings.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/914387/en-us

Go to "Method 2: Change the time zone settings on a single computer," It's a searies of steps, but it will then set it so your autoupdate of the DST works correctly.

I'm using a copy of XP that may or may not have been obtained legally, and I downloaded and installed Microsoft's update to correct DST with no problems

PS - server times all look fine to me.....dunno what you're talking about?

It was fixed not too long after I made the original post.

And I wasn't able to download Microsoft's update for my comp (they didn't make a fix for 2k), nor James' XP.

I'm surprised that at least James' didn't update. I got the patch about 3 weeks ago for mine...

I couldn't get it around the validation check, and it didn't pass validation.

But all is well.

I really should upgrade to XP. NO Vista for me any time soon though. I'm hearing it could turn into the next ME.

I just set mine to have automatic update tell me when downloads are available, then I pick and choose what I want to download and install. No need for validation, (although they will try to get you to download WGA whenever they release a new version) and they give you all the security updates as soon as they come out

I had him go to Windows update, and in order to use it, it wanted to go to a new version...I didn't realize it would install the validation tool until after it did it, and I can't roll it back or anything. No big deal, it's going to be formatted at some point anyway.
