I think my trans is toast

My engine, trans, and rear end were all brand new, they all have a little over 900 miles on them. I never really got on the car too bad, maybe once of twice. So this morning on my way to work my trans started to slip really bad. It slips in every gear and it took forever to get up to 50mph beacause it just slips so bad. When I put it in over drive it started making a grinding noise and was vibrating really bad. Could this be a torque converter problem or does it deffinatley sound like a transmission problem. This is a rebuilt transmission, the guy who rebuilt it used all hughes parts in it and said it should handle the power i'm making. Also I have a TCI 3000 stall converter. Anyone have any ideas?

Was it installed by your, or the guy who rebuilt it?

Sounds like the tranny itself

Even if it is the convertor it probably sent metal all through the trans so it would need to be rebuilt as well.

I installed it. I got it rebuilt while I was out at school near Pittsburg through a speed shop, who were a bunch of crooks so I'm not even going to waste my time trying to get money or a new trans from them.
Yes, it has the correct level of fluid.
JS- thats what I was thinking about the T/C also, I might as well just buy a new TCI trans and 3200 TCI verter.
Once I get the new trans and run it at the track a few times I'm done, I can't take it anymore, I need to get rid of this money pit.
