How dare GM...

make a water pump that will only last 158,700 miles. What BS is that. The original waterpump in the T/A went today. Antifreeze everywhere.

just put some rags on top the opti when you change it out. I didnt have a problem but i changed the cap and rotor when I cahnged out my pump.

My rear bearing seal let loose like so:

leaking dexcool all over the opti like this:

Yours lasted longer then mine though. Mine was at about 70K miles when it went.....

I'm doin it tomorrow. I twisted the cap pff one click so atleast it wont build pressure. I have to drive the car since I have a final tonight, which sucks.

Ohh ans the anti freeze b4 i relaized the water pump went, i popped the hood and there was antifreeze sitting in the rubber air intake elbow. Makes no sense to me.

Eh....the stock waterpump in my old Lumina lasted about 188k miles. Not that I would have been upset if it died 30k miles earlier.

All done, new pump is in, all the air pockets are out, car runs like a champ, stays at a nice temp of 160 degrees. I'm happy.
