I think i fugged up my car =[

After driving today and doing some drifting and acceleration tests I came home only to hear something snap in my suspension, something else pop in my exhaust, messing up my brakes somehow (they seemed to be getting worse progressively since the winter), and now my trans seems to be going out on me because it sticks in park when i 1st go to put it in drive and the shifting is really off... Now before anyone says that it's the drifting or whatever that messed up the suspension, it wasn't... I know that what caused that was 1. having an 11 year old suspension and 2. turning onto my street at 45mph (it's a slow right but it's banked oddly)... hopefully it's not as bad as i make it seem... Just wish me luck because I'm getting it checked out soon... Also any tips for things I could do to possibly check myself for problems would be helpful =D I'm supposed to go to O.C. tomorrow to go surfing so I need to make sure it's ok...

Maybe because he didn't hear a "crackle" to go with the "snap" and the "pop!"

I am leaning toward the same conclusion. You probably damaged something drifting and then it broke completely on your way home.

x3 -- if you heard something crack in your susp. check the sway bar links, strut/shock tower mounts, etc. Check your trans fluid - make sure there is enough in it and that is red. Do some simple diag. stuff first!

....and I really need my board back so i can go paddle out, heard the waves have been decent lately.

wish i knew how to do all that stuff... i really have no clue how to do all that stuff... i know some of the terminology but i have no way to learn stuff hands on since i don't have any type of lift or (safe) jack to check stuff and my dad is more clueless than me...

and the waves were horrible today... i went to O.C. to go surfing cuz today was my last day in school... it was completely flat apart from some occasional 4 foot swells... i don't even think that big... it's not worth the money to go out yet...

i agree. 3 things wrong with your post: you were drifting, you heard noises and thought it was ok to still drive it, and you think an 11 year old suspension is going to hold up under extreme conditions (which, no matter how you look at it, drifting is an extreme condition).

move along. nothing to see here.
