Poor Jeep.....updated with pics

Got into an accident on Saturday when Karen, Garrett, and I were heading home from Genie and James' wedding. It was my fault, I glanced at something on the side of the road, and the Escalade in front of me stopped short. I looked back, and didn't have enough room to stop, so I rear ended them.

I'm fine, and so was Garrett. Kare was in the hospital for about 8 hours, she was cramping pretty bad and they wanted to make sure that she wasn't going into labor or anything. She's fine though, no worries (thank God!).

The Jeep will need (at minumum) hood, bumper, grill, header panel, all front driver's side lights, radiator, rad support, driver's side fender, and driver's side inner fender. Didn't get the hood open at the scene to see if there was any more damage, though I think I'll need a fan and an A/C condensor as well. Before I shut it off, the fan was banging into something pretty hard.

Just waiting for the insurance company to check things out and see what they say. The Jeep is at Hampton Auto Body in Newton, NJ on Rt. 206. That's who Newton Police were contracted with to do the tow. I was going to have AAA come pick it up, but with Kare starting to cramp, I figured that taking care of her and getting to the hospital with her was more important.

Yea, it was Newton Memorial. Accident happened right on Main Street (Rt. 206) in Newton. I was a little apprehensive since that's the hospital my dad was taken to when he broke his back, and the ER doctor took one xray, told him he broke his back, and then told him to go home and lay down for a few weeks. I hear they have gotten much better lately though, and everyone there was really nice.

Yes, I know the Jeep isn't actually ruined, but I dunno if I can/want to rebuild the Jeep if Progressive decides to total it. I will most certainly be looking for another one if this one doesn't get fixed though.

God damn, that sounds identical to my big camaro accident except I hit a cavalier, not an escalade. Glad everyone - born and to-be-born - is OK.

Glad to hear everyone made it out without injury...I heard about it just as we were leaving for the track...we were all releaved when we heard that Karen checked out A.O.K...I see your following in my footsteps, wreck the first jeep, get another...maybe this time you can get somethin w/a few options ...so what were you lookin' at that distracted you so much anyway?....On a serious note; glad to hear everyone is ok

I thought I was gonna have to tell pat to turn around. I love how karen sent me a text message to tell me what happened. It's like, "doot do doot do dooo, going to new york, ho hum, i have a text. *reads* WAHHHHHH!?!?!?!?!?!?" I freaked so much I was having trouble using speed dial my hands were shaking so bad.
Thanks for keeping me updated through the evening, and of course, I'm glad everyone is okay. Good thing you took her to the hospital. That's number one.

Pictures of the jeep?

Heh....I like my stripper Jeep. But I suppose if I find a replacement with PW/PL I won't complain too much.

Negative....didn't think about snapping any. Too busy getting stuff out of it, then making sure Karen was ok when she started to cramp up and whatnot.

Yea, I have full coverage. The insurance company just left me a voicemail, so I'm gonna call them back when I leave work in a few minutes.
