Who am I kidding?
I can't sell my Camaro...
So what if it doesn't run right now
...the body parts don't all line up
...it isn't all the same color
...isn't a 10 point car show winner
...isn't a 10 second car
Its still the best thing I have ever owned.
I gave the car a nice wash this afternoon after letting it sit for a few months and I started to feel like a horrible person just thinking about selling it, It was if I was betraying someone or something. I know I probably bitch & moan about it a lot to my friends, & always changing my mind on what I want to do, but In the end I can't get rid of it. Just to many memories and possibilities.

Alex,
I saw the locked posts in the classifieds and figured I'd see a post like this. Good move, once you get it all square you will be glad you didn't sell it.

i know how you feel. You just have to forget about it for an hour and then your head will be clear. The thing with me is, I want a manual car, that runs 12's and gets at least 14city/24 high way. to D/D But Im way to much into this to change it now

It's more like "Hey, I never did a ten, but I've done five 2's". LOL

You must learn patience!
Develop the mechanics skills, buy the tools, and work on the car a little here and there. Continue to enjoy it whether its 5 different colors or not.
Then let the Camaro be with you!

Good call on keeping the camaro. Most important thing is to try and get it all working again so you can actually enjoy it. When I drove my bird in the winter...I really wasn't enjoying it. Summer time hits and boom the top goes down and I fall back in love with it all over again. I was having some really annoying issues with it at the beginning of the season but finally thats been worked out and its fun again.
Will it be the best looking? No
Will it be the fastest? No
Will it always run perfect? No
Get it going again and you will be happy that you didn't sell it. I have too many memories in my car, especially working on it with my dad and everything else. Money-wise it never makes sense but how much are happiness and memories worth? Good luck and hope to see it all going again.

Well, keep it then. I looked at my car, sitting in my driveway, and I pictured a blue 06 GTO parked in its spot, and I havent changed my mind... still trading it in

yeah...
i dont see a point in trading something fast in for something slower.
GTO < LS1
its funny cause the drivers really think they got you beat, and they get walked
keep the ls1... very few real world encounters can touch it! most cars with more horsepower lose... I LOVE LIGHTWEIGHT!
