NJSPEEDER VS Buoniconti81
Tim thinks he can beet me. Sooooooo I'm willing to race him anybody wanna watch wed at Englishtown. By the way I'm Gary. I drive a 1998 Corvette, I have installed Vararam, long tube headers, x pipe corsa performance exhaust, and a asp underdrive pulley. Tim on the other hand has a 1999 SS Camaro, with only a cat back. I'm curious as to know if he's lying as to what was done.

THE TALE OF THE TAPE
Gary's 1998 Corvette
stock curb weight 3245
factory HP Rating:345
transmission: automatic
performance mads: Long Tubes, Vararam CAI, Corsa Cat-Back w/ X-pipe
Tim's 1999 Z28
stock curb weight: 3580
factory hp rating: 305
transmission: T56
performance mods: SLP Loudmouth Cat-Back, Whisper Lid
on paper the answer is clear, but we don't race on paper, so we will see how it goes. i gotta take the tree from him pretty bad to even this up and since it has been years since i have competitively driven a stick car, my odds of blowing it even if i do steal the hit are still pretty high. lol

I'll be working and won't be able to make it Hopefully someone will be able to tape it (Tim should have his video camera with him).
Any cash ridin' on this race, or just Lowes Pride?

seeing as tim has the t56 and hasnt raced in a while. he could knock out a high 12
garys never raced but has the advantage of the auto and not spinning as much plus the lighter car and more mods, he COULD potentialy go mid 12s.
if i put money on it id say gary by about a car. $20
gary PM me for tips

haha, thanks for the love demonicbird. giving my opponent tips. i love it.
like i said in the tale of the tape, the winner on paper is obvious. so it is up to me to steal the hit and not screw up.
it is all for fun and maybe some lunch money, so it is worth it either way.
btw gary, it is jsut a Z28, not an SS as you put in your original post. talk to me at work monday if you wanna drop a few bucks into this game.

automatic with full exhaust and no stall converter? would that hurt him down low a lil bit?
my 98 went 12.97 @ 110 with a lid and catback on street tires, with a 2.06 60'
Tim, get a nice R/T, and a decent launch and no missed shifts, i think youll take him.
and remember the article from GMHTP? Evan Smith from Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords went 12.89@109.18 in a bone stock 6 speed camaro off of the showroom floor.

yeah, but i know evan, he is prolly a better stick driver than anyone in this club. he also had the quickest test pass ever in a cobra R.
with the two little bolt ons i am confident that i can see a low 13, maybe a 12 if things go perfect. taking the tree from gary is definately gonna make or break this match up, cause he will kill me on the back end of the track.

I'm sorry but tim's car isn't off the show room floor, and it's still a camaro no offense but they didn't build corvette's to get beat by stock camaro's. The only way tim will beat me is if I let him. I'm confident my Corvette will win! Hey tim lets see loser buys the other Ruby Tuesday's. I feel like having a steak. Medium rare Hahahahahahahahahaha
