er, he's big and scary in person, too. sometimes people are actually who they are in the real world; they don't pretend or make up personas to fit in to an online community that doesn't care who you are in real life anyway. if you have ever heard him talk in person, he tells you like it is with no sugar-coating, much the same way he behaves "online".
