vehicle transporter referral ?
didn't know where to post this...
I'm going to be buying a running 1st Gen from New Hampshire, and am not up to the task of driving the 220 miles each way to go get it and bring it back to north jersey.
I tried the online quotes, but they are all over the place -- both price wise, and legitimacy wise...
so, can anyone here recommend a hauler ?
thanks in advance

I've used Intercity Lines as well. Do you need enclosed transport or can it be open? Enclosed is much harder to schedule. But be careful of those online quote places. Some of those guys don't even haul stuff, they just sub it out to someone else. They'll quote you $600 and then sub it out for $500 and have no idea what's really going on with your car. I would go on Hemmings and do a search for a transport located here in NJ. There are a lot of mom and pop haulers and they will treat the vehicle well. But most of them are open transport.

FedEx Custom Critical did a nice job with my dad's Porsche. It was enclosed transportation much like an NHRA hauler.

X2, we use Fed Ex to carry alot of our cars for the vintage events in Conneticut and Cali. They brought us our Porsche 935K3 two years ago...a little late, but still in time for the opening of the track.
