DHL will be hearing from the BBB soon.

I dunno if anybody really gives an eff' about this, but to anyone who might be interested, I filed a complaint to the Better business bureau about DHL's crappy service. its alot to read if you wanted to go as far to read it

Complaint Description:
First, I just want to say that i am truly disgusted with DHL's service. In september of 2007, I thought everything was going to be ok. I had my 150 lb package One T56 GM 6 speed transmissionshipped to my friend Dewayne Squires, who lives at 37 private drive 3463, Proctorville, Ohio in 3-4 days. That was fine. I then arranged it to be picked up at a later date 9/26/07 after he repaired it. Apparently, DHL did not pick it up until october 10th. I didnt know about this until october 26th, 1 month later. I called and called, but nobody knew anything. I felt like i was left in the dark. I then contacted customer service and requested a refund from them, since a 3-4 day delivery hadn't even been completed. i recieved a letter on october 30th stating that i could not get my money back since it was past 15 days of when it was shipped. I wouldve been able to get my money back if their communication was at the least, good. Again, i felt left in the dark, like they didnt want me to know anything. Finally, sometime in November after numerous phone calls to DHL did i get though to somebody and they told me that they couldnt find the package. their claims agent spent roughly 5 days looking for my package, which consisted of Her just calling over to the DHL hubs to look for them to look for it. (who knows if those people actually did anything) According to the tracking number 66255339544, it was in 3 different locations. The Huntington, West Virginia Hub, then Wilmington, Ohio main sorting station, then it went to the Wescosville, PA hub, where it did not proceed any further. Nobody knows what happened to it. What really bothers me is that this was a 3'x2'x2' Bright blue heavy duty Sterilite Brand container with a locking lid and it weighed 150 pounds! it just doesnt get misplaced, and if you walked into it, you would definately know. this item would take 2 men to carry or maybe a forklift/pallet jack to move it around. I filed a loss/damge claim form with DHL on November 2nd, 2007. i emailed it and faxed it numerous times. its been over a month and i havent heard anything from them. I did not have the shipping protection (insurance) on it, because ive never had any problems with them in the past or any other company that ive dealt with. The cost to repair the transmission was $1,145.00 the price of the transmission itself was $1,300.00. I didnt get the insurance on it because i didnt think they would lost a package of that size and weight. Foolish of me to think that.. If i had the insurance on it, Im sure they wouldve found it by now or not have even lost it in the first place. The only other thing i could think of is that somebody would steal my transmission, but the guy would have to really know a few things about cars and be a real jerk to do that. I think they just set it off to the side somewhere on a pallet and/or it is underneath other items. I believe a thorough search needs to be performed at each hub that it went to, twice. They told me anything that was missing a shipping label or was misplaced would be sent to the sorting station in wilmington, ohio here is a link to the picture of my package to better help DHL locate it http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...rubbermaid.jpg

Your Desired Resolution:
If they cannot find it, I want a refund on the cost to ship here and a refund/replacement of $2,445.00 to cover the cost of the transmission and the parts to fix it. Granted, i did not have the insurance, but they still shouldnt have lost it. That is Poor service, especially for a package that big. It's like theyre saying its my fault that it got lost since I didnt the insurance on it. I hate that it has come down to this. I'd much rather have them locate my package and send it to me for free. If not, DHL is a big enough corporation, im sure they can spare $2,445.00 for their mistake. here is a link to a picture of what it would look like, so this might help DHL find it. http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...rubbermaid.jpg

I hope you capitalized the "I's" and did a thorough grammar check (i.e. there's an apostrophe in 'they're'). Good luck with it!

HAHA for $2500, I'd be there with a tire iron and a power saw.
