What do you do with old magazines?

I've been doing the biannual task of cleaning my room , and am coming across craploads of magazines that have been gotten, read, and tossed on the floor. I'm kinda wondering now... WTF do I do with all of these? Part of me says keep them.... but would I really have a need to go back to a 3 year old car and driver for something? Then I'm thinkig throw them in the recycling... but is there anything else I'm not considering? Donating them somewhere or something? Or am I missing a benefit of holding on to them?

I keep most of mine. You never know when one of the tech articles will come in handy.

if you ca hold on to them for 20 years or so, i know people who have gotten good money for vintage magazines.. plus its fun to look back at them and go wow.. that was technology?

lol, i think its only that spot on main st that goes under 46 by d&d thats really bad with flooding. I know where I used to live was up on a hill by the DMV, never had any problems with flooding. Garfield on the other hand.. I remember river road literally turning into a river a few years ago.

hang on to them if you can afford the shelf space. never store magazines on the floor if it can be avoided. nothing worse than a soggy batch of 10 years worth of saving.

I tend to keep mine, but someone broke into my bathroom and removed the 50 or so mags that were sitting on top of the head. I like to keep the PHR's and HR's for tech articles. 4 years ago, I couldnt imagine me owning a carb'ed car.....
I still have my FIRST issue of Hot Rod mag that I bought when I turned 17 years old.

A lot of mine end up on the shelf over the head (In the 'library'). A member of my Jeep club has a son in Afghanastan and we now donate all our used automotive mags to him. He in turn sends them to all of the troops in his son's unit and they get distributed to troops all over the area. At this point, it's car/truck magazines only. If anyone's interested in getting rid of some car mags, shoot me a pm and we'll work something out.

Keep some, recycle some. So I couldn't vote.
