GM sells off medium truck line

Just read about it in the latest issue of Diesel Power. Said that GM sold off the medium truck line Chevy and GMC Kodiak and Topkick to Navistar. I wander if Chevy and GMC dealerships will still have them now.

Yes, the deal is for production and product development. The trucks will still be branded as Chevys and GMCs, and they will still be sold and serviced through the same dealers that they are currently sold through.

I dunno....they haven't officially made the changeover yet, and I didn't hear anything about what changes they will make.

the 7.3L was a good motor, then ford tried to design a motor themselfs(the 6.0 and i think the current one) and had Navi build em, if GM was smart theyd try to get Cummins away from Dodge, Cummins + Allison =

International has always built the F-250/350/450 motors from the 6.9 to the current 6.4. Once you get to the 550/650/750 line you have the option of other motors like CAT, Cummins, etc.

I know International has had their hand in all of them, maybe Ford shared in the design of the 6.4. Either way, it's turned into a failure so I wouldnt want my name on it lol

the only thing FORD on their diesels is the ECU, i like cummins as well but CAT makes a nice mid size engine the C7 is nice now that the injector issue is straightened out
