The car is under rated for hp, magazines say 13.8 for 1/4 but this did 13.3. Looks sweet

Thats a good question because a car that has apprx 40 less hp and weighs a few hundred more shouldnt run faster, this would mean the car is under rated.

Best stock gto time I could find was 13.29 @ 107 BONE STOCK.
So I guess the tune in the g8 brings the car up quite a notch

i heard the problem was they keep pushing the stick option back and back....whens it finally comin out anyone know?

Right now, the 6spd manual will only be available for the G8 GXP. They reason they dont have teh 6spd manual available right now is because the G8 GT uses AFM where it shuts down half the engine. 6 spd manual does not go well with this, and as of rightnow they cannot get the two to work together.
What woudl happen is if G8 GT got a 6spd manual, the engine would be different,w hich means more $$$ to spend on recert. a new engine/trans as well as make it pass emissions. and its possible that this combo, the L98/TR6060 combo, will get hit with the guzzler tax.

107mph is fast...I think the rear end of the GTO caused too much wheel hop.
The G8's rear suspension is built for abuse. Good news for future Camaro owners.

The best I saw was 12.97 @ 108 at Atco. Bone stock with 1200 miles

umm at 90% of the tracks that car wont run that time again....atco is "special" at the begining and end of the season.
that said......its sick, and i believe the guy that has it is a trailblazer ss guy

that g8 has a tune "from tune time" and some bolt on to go that fast g8s are not that fast high 13s wish everyone would get over them they are fat pigs that dont look any better then the gto another ugly car. got to give him credit for the mid 12s on street rad though

i heard different i guess. i heard with a tune he did 13.1 and mid to high 13s all day without tune. i have seen videos of a few much like the over weight gto all run high 13s to low 14s

yeah but my SUV weights the same as a sports car and is almost 20yrs old and runs the same with old technology.

Your vehicle was also built FOR performance. The G8 is a combo of performance, comfort and luxury, 2 MAJOR things your SUV lacks. Let's compare apples to apples here. I could go grab my buddy's TTA's with the "old technology" and spank the G8 and your SUV...but what's the point? Different strokes for different folks.
