the lifters coming out are self adjusting and have lasted 50 / 100,000 miles with out doing anything, the set up you have now you will have to re adjust the lifters at or around every oil change to keep it in top tune, ( adds 2 hours to the simple oil job at least ) -- plus as was said the pushrods will be different and the cam valve spring pressures will have to be adjusted as well ( maybe ) but you need to check and see if it matches ( valve spring installed and open pressure ) to the cam you incorrectly bought - i would re think changing from hydraulics to solid if i were you -- in a 305 combo the gain is nothing -- jz
