				Places to Buy a Helmet?

			My buddy is looking to pick up a helmet for a bunch of different things. He wants to be able to use it for drag racing and prob. running around on a motorcycle from time to time. He has a really big freakin head so does anyone know of a place new Middlesex to pick one up?

My guess is a full face helmet with a removable shield aka just a motorcycle helmet should do.

I'm guessing just any motorcycle sales place would have them but just want to ask around.

			Best bet is to go test fit a few at a motorcycle dealership or something, then go online and just Google search and there are tons of companies online. Might be able to catch a break online.

			I got one for sale. 25 bucks its black and green barely used, been in my garage fumbling around for about a year now. Full face motorcycle helmet with some nice padding for a pretty nice sized head. Its a cirus v2 I think the model number is cs-10

			He needs to check the requirements for the classes he's running with the car and the bike. I don't know if all motorcycle helmets meet the requirements for automobile racing. Specs/rules change and I could be wrong, but I know SCCA racing won't accept a bike helmet
Here is some info.....

			I'm actually using a motorcycle helmet with the shield removed when I go drag racing. Buddy had no need for it a while back so I just took it off his hands. I'm sure certain types of helmets won't qualify but a full face one should...assuming. The hunt should be fun.

			Most drag tracks will accept a Snell M-rated helmet. Heck - Atco doesn't even check to see if it's DOT approved (Bad example, I know)

The basic way it was explained to me is that Snell M-Rated helmets are designed to protect against impact from the ground, and the SA-Rated helmets were designed to protect against impact against things inside a car like the steering wheel / roll bar(cage) / etc.

Feel free to correct me if that's not right....

 they won't. M-rated helmets are fine as long as they're snell M2000 or newer.

SA 2000 and K98 helmets are all accepted as well.

M = Motorcycle, SA = Special Application, K= Karting.

If a tech inspector gives you a hard time about a K rated helmet (we don't see them often, I just saw one for the first time ever a few weeks ago), tell them to look in the rule book.

SA 2000 and K98 helmets are all accepted as well.

M = Motorcycle, SA = Special Application, K= Karting.

If a tech inspector gives you a hard time about a K rated helmet (we don't see them often, I just saw one for the first time ever a few weeks ago), tell them to look in the rule book.
