I haven't met too many members here, mostly only the people semi-close to me, but I talk with most of them on a somewhat regular basis, or see them around. They're all cool people, whether we do something car related or not.

if you guys actually do something rather than hang around id come out...but standing around in new brunswick at midnight just sounds like i can get that type of experience at my friends house in trenton

wow i guess my original statement was taking out of hand. All i wanted to know is if you guys do something actually car related up there or just hang out. Didn't ask for a large breakout discussion to occur. I cant believe it ended up this bad. wow.

i was just seeing what the events were like up there so I didnt have to waste the gas to impede upon your hang out. damn. guess you can fault a guy for being curious.

I just cant believe that I'm the only one on this forum that enjoys tearing ass around on the highways.

First off, you can't cruise in NJ because there are way too many traffic lights, stop signs and traffic. 3rd, you can't communicate with people well when you're all driving around in circles. I cruise in my car every day so doing it on the weekend or weeknight is nothing special. Getting together with people is more interested. It has nothing to do with the price of gas, but why would you want to just cruise around for no reason? Now, if you were to cruise down to the south meet on Saturday you can accomplish both things, cruising and meeting up with people!

hahah jeff you own.

i cruise around by myself mostly because there isnt anything to do. Rt 37 Toms River groups know how to do the parking lot meets. Standing around with a bunch of people in a parking lot talking cars is fun and awesome...but like i said before 5 people in a parking lot eating sammiches sounds a bit too personal for me...not flaming anyone or downing anyone for doing it...i do it at 5 guys all the times...but with my real life friends...people i actually have something to talk about personal lives with and bs. im just not that open with people....so i leave it to cars only

jeff you need to clue me in to some fun places to cruise TO.

real friends = a friend doesnt become a real friend until youve known them for at least 5 years. i dont go around an tag all the people i know with the 'friend' title. most are acquaintances.

except you. nobody likes you.

kidding aside. the entire point of the hijack that has occurred here is to show that we ARE real life friends. no, its not necessarily something that happens the first time you come to hang out, but once someone starts hanging out with a group, all of a sudden they become part of it, and you have more real life friends. Come to think of it, most of my real life friends have been generated from here or meets regarding here.

so if you date someone does she not become your "real" girlfriend until after 5 years?

well basically yes actually...its written in the man code

edit:

some nights at the trucks weve had like 20 people so its not just "5 people hanging out eating"...weve even had rutgers police come talk to us about his car (mustang) in his garage...go ahead and ask me why im on this forum when i drive a mustang, or better yet ask anyone on here that knows me in person...if you need a car to make your friends then maybe you need a personality adjustment

lol you got it backwards though 99gt. i dont want to be 'real friends' with anyone on here. i just wanna see you cars

as for the friends thing...yeah most are acquaintances...friends dont become friends by tagging...they become friends through their actions.

ah i realize you guys are 'real friends' in 'real life' thats the reason i dont wanna impede on your hangouts when theyre small intimate group meetings.

i cant explain things for crap through typing. longfellow im not.

ill gladly pop my hood and talk about my cars, but that gets old fast when most of the ones that will be at the meet will look the same under the hood.... i dont like driving my trans-am around for no reason (no radio or ac) so i usually have my truck out (or now the civic) im sure you would have a problem with that too?

how about starting to cruise down to atco in a couple weeks? you will get the cruising in, and the car talk in, and maybe we can see how fast your ls1 must be for you to be so damn arrogant

I think we talk abotu cars more then anything else? That or we talk about the internets, or something going on about the site.
See, we can chat about anything and be happy. If you dont wana chat, then maybe hanging out isn't your game. This club is open to anyone, but I guess you have to have a certain personality to be a true member of this club. The people that fit our profile are the same people that have been around for years.
Many people on this site dont go to the little meets, dont travel out to the big ones, or just dont really participate in anything outside of the internet, and that doesnt make them bad people, and it doesnt make you a bad person. You just dont fit into our large family. It happens, no biggie. You are welcome to keep with the site and chat about cars, but if you dont wana join the family, thats fine.
