Problem with dash vents.

In my 2001 z28 the dash ac/heat vents do NOT work, no air coming out. The windshield defroster and the lower leg vents work fine though. It does sound like the blower motor may be going because its making a weird noise, but the top and bottom vents blow just fine. Does anyone know why it would do this? Would something be clogged? Thanks.

can you hear the door switch over when you turn to that position? does it come out elsewhere when it shouldn't? i don't know much about it but could be something wrong with the air deflector door or a clog but that seems a little out there. the blower motor works in every position? like floor, dash, etc.?

There is a HVAC check valve on the passenger side should be black and egg shaped ..
Could be a vacuum line is unhooked from there
The upper and lower vent doors are operated by actuators that are controled by vacuum when there isnt enough vacuum in the system you usually only end up with defrosters and lower vents working..
The check valve in the engine bay is the 1st place I would check.

I could not find any egg shaped thing with broken lines but i did find this.

Could this be the problem? Nothing is attached to the top of this thing, but I have really no idea. Any help is appreciated.

Picture is dark all I can see is a air check valve..
To the right of your pcm you should see 3 small vacuum lines that run to a t shaped fitting..
