Just got a P1336 crank relearn code last night

Does anyone know if this relearn process can be done with software like HP Tuners(hint, hint, hint)? I know it doesn't affect the car's performance or driveability but I go through inspection in Dec so I'll need to clear it by then. I can delete it, but it comes right back. I'm guessing it's because of the tuned computer I swapped in back in May.

Yeh Hp software can delete the code and erase it from the pcm completely most tuners do that with cammed cars anyways..

I am just curious as to why you got the code because you said you did something to the pcm back in May..
Did you unplug the pcm with the ignition on or something??
Swap your pcm with a pcm from another car?
Even having your battery go dead with the ignition key can cause it

I cant delete it out of the pcm but I can enable the actual relearning procedure in the pcm so that it doesnt pop up again if the pcm learns it..
if not then you have a problem with crank sensor, damaged reluctor wheel, or crankshaft ect...

I had to send away for a tuned PCM because it was close to dyno day and I couldn't afford any down time with the car being my daily driver. So I swapped them out. That's most likely why the code popped up.

yep that is 100% th reason then..
A tech2 or even some of the Snap-On scanners can enable the Relearn procedure..
Other than that you just let the car idle in Park for an auto or N for manual and wait for the engine temp to reach 150..
Apply brakes..
Enable the relearn then slowly rev the engine up to 4000rpms..
